Rescheduling and Cancellation Policy
We understand that unanticipated events occur. Car problems, traffic considerations, business meetings, project deadlines, or children’s illness affect our daily lives and can interfere with a massage appointment.
In our commitment to provide an outstanding massage experience to all of our clients and out of consideration for our own time, we have adopted the following policies:
YOUR MASSAGE APPOINTMENT
In order to arrive on time for your appointment, please take parking into consideration when leaving for your massage. Please call if late arrival is inevitable. Your service may be shortened in order to keep on schedule to be fair to the next client. The original treatment time will be charged.
RESPECT FOR CLIENTS NEEDS AND BOUNDARIES
Be sure to speak up! Your Massage Therapist is happy to adjust pressure, temperature, musical volume, work longer on an area or move on if you request it.
The client may choose to: leave on as much clothing as needed for comfort, refuse any massage methods, stop massage at any time.
The client will always be modestly draped. Only the area being massaged will be undraped. The client will be kept informed of the area to be massaged.
Sexual interaction or discussion of any kind between the client and the massage therapist is never appropriate.
You may cancel or reschedule an appointment up to 24 hours inadvance through the website you booked your appointment through. If a client fails to cancel before 24 hours, the session will be charged to the credit card on file. After three late cancellations you may be blocked from booking online. I respect the time you have booked, please respect mine as well. If you have a Gift Card or Groupon and fail to cancel within 24 hours of your appointment time, the GC or Groupon deal are void – No exceptions.
LATE ARRIVAL POLICY
Unfortunately we cannot always provide late arrivals with an extension of scheduled appointments. In special cases we may be able to accommodate a partial or full appointment. This will be at our discretion and only with proper, advanced notification of your late arrival. The full service fee will be charged at the end of treatment.
NO SHOW POLICY
Upon finding that a client is absent from their appointment location, the therapist will attempt to contact the client, and will remain at the appointment location for 15 minutes. After this time the appointment will be considered a “no show” and the client will be charged full fee for the service scheduled and will be asked to pre-pay for future services.
Gift cards may be purchased for any value amount and are redeemable for massage services only – no cash value. On Point Therapeutic Massage is not responsible for lost, stolen, unauthorized card use or damaged cards. Cards may be replaced if a valid card number can be provided. Replacement cards will be the value of the card at the time we receive your report of loss, card damage, theft or unauthorized use.
Please inform us at time of scheduling of any health conditions, allergies, special needs or concerns you have. Your safety is important to us & some services may not be appropriate for certain conditions.
In an effort to maintain a healthy environment, we ask that if you are sick (which includes a cold, a fever, the flu, etc.) or have the onset of symptoms of an illness that you reschedule your appointment. This is for your well being as well as the health of our employees, therapists and clients.
If you arrive for your appointment with symptoms of an illness, you will be asked to reschedule your appointment and will be charged 50% of the service booked.
Receiving a massage when you are sick is not advised. While in the early and acute stages of a cold, the flu or other illness, a massage can accelerate the onset of the infection and intensify its severity (via additional circulation of blood & lymph). If you get a massage after the infection has peaked, you may experience a relapse of symptoms and feel sick again. Please wait until you have been well for at least a week before re-booking your massage. If you do need to cancel your appointment, please call as soon as possible and we will be happy to reschedule your appointment for a time when you are feeling better.
